Hi there,

While the nVidia Quadro 600 video card has not been tested in this system, it appears that the low profile Quadro 600 video card uses the same amount of power and the same PCI-Express standard as a card that was shipped with the Optiplex 980 SFF (nVidia Quadro NVS420).

Based on this, I would say that the likelihood is that it will work, however as it's not been tested in the system, I can't completely guarantee this for you. The best advice I can give if you wish to purchase this card is double-check with the company that you are buying the card from if they will accept a return should the card not work with your Optiplex 980.

Hi Ivan,

The Optiplex 980 has a PCIe slot and it supports half height cards. So this Nvidia quadro would fit in the system. Maximum Power Consumption for Nvidia Quadro 600 is 40W. While we have not tested this card with Optiplex 980 SFF. However, NVidia Quadro NVS 420 with similar power requirements has been tested. So this card should also work.

Please reply for further clarifications.
