Pentium D 945 64-bit?

Does a Pentium D 945 3.4Ghz supports 64-bit? I tried to run a 64-bit XP trail with Virtualbox but it said my CPU doesn't supports 64-bit OS's
 
Please help me I want a 64-bit version for accelerating RAM and CPU...

Yes, it is 64-bit. Intel says so. I know my PD 830 is because I can run 64-bit Linux on it.

Try CPU-Z and see if it list EM64T (Intel 64-bit extensions).

64-bit processors are mainly for addressing lots of memory. It will not greatly speed up memory or the CPU (maybe a little faster for 64-bit integer operations).

from the research i've been doing lately, i know that CPU definitely supports 64-bit.
