Precision T7400 Desktop, will not power on.

Precision T7400 Desktop, will not power on.   I tried changing out the power supply and still does nto power on.   I see the network port light up, and if I hit the reset on the power supply I see that it tries to power up.  but does nothing.   Not sure what else to look at.    The Dell logo on the power button does not light up....but when I hit the reset on the power supply and hold it, I can open and close the CD players...but get nothing else.

You've narrowed it down to the motherboard then.

You might try removing ALL non-essential parts (drives, expansion cards, etc.).

Try booting with a single stick of RAM installed.

Try removing processor 2; if it still doesn't work, remove processor 1 and insert processor 2 in slot 1.

If still no luck, shop for a new motherboard.
