Problems with setting up RAID on Dell Precision 490 w Win7 64-bit

Hello:  I am trying to set up RAID (RAID1) on two new hard drives where I
would be installing Windows 7 64-bit on a Dell Precision 490.  No
matter what I try, the drivers for Intel Rapid Storage provided by Dell,
Intel, etc. will not "Load" during the Windows 7 installation; I
receive a notice that 64-bit drivers must be signed.  If I finish the
Windows 7 install, I am able to get a signed version of Intel Rapid
Storage but even using those drivers, when installing Windows 7 64-bit,
does not work.  Dell gave a link to their drivers and said I need to use
the F6 Floppy method which also does not work and according to what I
have read, it is not needed in Windows 7.  Even CNTL I does not work; it
will not create RAID setup of any kind.  NOTE: both hard drives are
recognized in the BIOS and I have tried both RAID and AHCI enable in
BIOS.  At the desktop, after finishing the Windows 7 64-bit install,
sometimes it only shows one hard drive, or  when I had the Rapid
Storage Control panel installed, it showed both drives but did not have
the Create option showing/available.  Any help/detailed instructions
would be appreciated since I have been working on this for days without
success.

Bios Update May be Required.

DATE AND TIME on the machine must be correct.  (Incorrect Date will render the "Certificates" for the signed Drivers to be invalid Therefore

Drivers WILL NOT INSTALL.    F8 Boot and DISABLE Driver signature enforcement then RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR for the drivers.

The Precision 490 uses

Intel® 6321ESB I/O Controller

Intel® 5000X Memory Controller

To resolve this issue yourself, enable the AHCI driver in the registry before you change the driver.

Hello:

Unfortunately this did not work, nor anything else that was tried,
including different drivers, CTRL-I, changing BIOS setting, etc.  At
this point, I need someone who had this exact problem and resolve it, to
give step by step instructions to fix this or I will end up with a
machine that is incapable of RAID and this was one of the reason I
purchased it.  Thanks so much; I do appreciate your help and really
wished it had worked.
