RAID option on OptiPlex 7020 Minitower
I am planning to add two hard drives to my 7020 PC, are there any RAID options or a PCI Express card that I can buy to supprt RAID ? or no options for RAID on this device
Thank you

Greetings Jberkson99,
Went over to my test lab for you and checked out a 7020. It had 2 hard drives installed and enabled, with BIOS version A03. Went into the BIOS and the RAID option was not present under SATA operation. I also don't see RAID available for the 7020 on my premier customization page. Due to this, I'm confident the 7020 does not offer RAID. I know the 9020 does as I have one of those set-up right now with RAID 1.
If you have a PCIe x1 slot available you might consider the below:
http://accessories.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=A4046565
It offers RAID 0 and 1.
Please post back with any further questions or feedback on this topic.

Justin
I am configuring my just out of the box Precision Tower 7910.
I want to configure my 2 1TB SSDs as a RAID 0, but cannot seem to find any onboard software or BIOS settings to do it.
What am I missing??
Do I need some extra hardware??
Thanks

Ha...
After updating the BIOS, I finally was able to blunder into the correct section of the BIOS that enabled me set up the RAID array.
Working perfectly now.
