Replacement Screen for the Inspiron One 2330

Hello.  I am having the same issue with trying to replace the touchscreen.  I let my aunt borrow my computer so she could finish her GIS course. Just a few days before I was to pick it up, it flipped forward and cracked the screen.

She told me that she would replace it once she got her tax refund but the price has changed since she first started calling Dell in December.  So now, instead of the $249+ that she was first quoted, different individuals want to charge her $800.00 (the actual cost of the computer), $569.00, etc.  She got laid off in August, so she can't afford these new higher prices but I need my computer to be fixed.

Can you please help us?

Thanks,

Ariel

This is a user-to-user forum so we have no control over what Dell does.

Have you called their out of warranty repair service? That page says an LCD repair is $269.00, so be sure to tell them that when you call. :emotion-5:

"Prices include repair or replacement of the part, labor and shipping. You send it to us and we’ll repair it and ship it back to you."

You'll have to pay to ship the system to the repair center so that will add some additional cost.

EDIT: This applies only to systems that are less than 5 years old and "some models may not be supported".
