No, they will not -- that requires UEFI, which you're not going to find on any eight year old PC system.

Thanks, should have done my homework. By the the time I get a new PC, these parts will likely be obsolete as well.

You can convert that part back to 2.5 inch Sata.

Then install in the X4 slot using an apricorn Adapter and boot from PCI-E  Note the Velocity Solo X2 DOES NOT FIT into an X1 slot.

Just the update, if anyone is following this thread

Better not tell the wife. You know how many pair of shoes she could buy?

Ordered StarTech SAT32M225 M.2 NGFF SSD to 2.5in SATA Adapter Converter only to find out that NGFF slot is M and EVO960 is B connector so that did not work.

Anyway, installed another 2.5" SSD into the Velocity Solo x2. Again drive was found no problem.

Unfortunately as I was told by ejn63 the BIOS has no option to boot from PCIe x4 So I can not install the OS on this drive to boot from.

No Events found!
