UZ2315H Dell integrated webcam support

Question

Hi

Is the integrated webcam and mic supported by the Windows 7 OS ?

I recently purchased a Dell XPS 8700 and Dell UltraSharp Uz2315H monitor but the webcam nor the mic gets detected. Can someone give me any insturction on how to go about it ? I have been on your tech support call for a week now and they even sent a replacement monitor but that did not work as well. So is there any one of your experts who actually knows how to solve this problem.

Frankly I am frustrated with the quality of the Dell Tech support team. So I am in desperate of help if any of you could address this issue ASAP!!!

If the mic and webcam are built into the monitor, you have to connect the monitor's "upstream" USB 3 port to a USB 3 port on the PC. Have you done that?

If the monitor came with a drivers disk, did you install them?

And have you gone into Windows settings to enable both webcam and mic?

Hi RoHe Thank you so much . It helped a lot ..the problem is fixed now and I did not have to wait for another 3 hours to someone who had taken almost a week to fix this issue.
