Upgrading my Dell Vostro 220 Mini tower?

Hello!

So I've had this Dell Vostro 220 Mini tower for about 3-4 years now and it runs as good as it ever did but I'm a computer gamer so I was wondering what are the best Replacement/upgraded parts I can install to it?

Main things I would like to upgrade are:

Graphics Card
Processor
Power Supply
Cooling
RAM

The Specs Currently are:

Processor: Intel Core2 Duo CPU E7400@2.80GHz
(Wolfdale Architecture/Socket type LGA775)

Power Supply: I believe a Dell 300w

GPU:  Intel G45/G43 Express Chipset

Cooling: I'm Unaware

Ram: 2GBx1 and 1GBx1

Thanks in advance!

This will give your gaming graphics a boost and no power supply replacement should be needed.

4gb of GSKILL DDR2 800 memory may help as well; I have confirmed (through personal experience with a 220s) that it is compatible, and it is gamer quality.

Those are the two updates I'd try first. I'm not sure if you can update to a quad core CPU or not; I believe there were two mainboard in the 220, one limited to single or dual core and the other capable of quad core. Quad-core 775 CPUs can be found on eBay for reasonable prices, although they've largely been discontinued.

Thank you so very much, That was exactly what i needed to know. But one more thing, I have 4 slots total for ram sticks, would it be possible to put anymore in?

It might hold four 2gb sticks for a total of 8gb. You would need a 64-bit operating system to make use of it, though.

I have Vostro 220 slim Tower.

Intel Core E7400, Socket 775 LGA. I think overclocked the cpu. CPU-Z say 1995.2 MHz, multiplier x 6.0, Bus Speed 332.5 MHZ, Rated FSB 1330 MHz.

4 GB: Kingston, PC2-6400 (400MHz)

Intel G45/G43 Expres Chipset Video card

250 W PS

I just started to play video game World of Tanks. Which Video card do you recommend?

Anything else to upgrade?

I went to MicroStore and bought ASUS HD 6450 Silent  1GB D3 with low profile. So far no issues. It cost me $35 instead of $114. What are major difference between the one I bought and you mentioned?

Is there better memory than current one I have? Should I change the HD to Solid State?

Thanks
