VOSTRO 200 Support for AHCI

Hi all!

I am relatively new to the form posting, but have a major issue on my computer that I cannot for the life of me find an answer to.  I purchased the Vostro 200 machine back in 2008 with XP installed on it.  My back office is requiring that I upgrade to Windows 7, which I have installed and it's working perfectly.  However, in order to be compliant with them to get the software pushes; they are saying I must set my SATA operations to AHCI.

When I run set up on this computer, under SATA operations, my only selections are RAID and IDE.  No AHCI!  I updated the drivers for the BIOS to the most recent one available from Dell for this model (200.1016) however this did not fix my problem of not being able to select AHCI.

My fear is that I have to upgrade computers, which I hope is not the case.  Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

-Matt

If "Bios" is set to Raid, your using AHCI.

See like below.
