WINDOWS 10 SOUND DRIVERS FOR DELL

So I have done a clean install of Windows 10 on my Dell OptiPlex GX620 and there are no sound drivers showing. I went to update in Device manager but nothing found. I googled only to get this from Dell "

product not tested for Windows 10 upgrade

Dell is not testing or developing Windows 10 drivers for this product. If you choose to upgrade, some features, applications, and connected devices may not work as expected."

So does it mean that we should not install windows 10? or when will Dell catch up with the new technology?

Please assist any one

That hardware is not new technology it is from 2005, a decade old... 64 Bit Windows 10 should be incompatible with that model due to the processor. 32 Bit Windows 10 should work okay though.

If you use Internet Explorer 11 you should be able to get this driver from the Microsoft Update Catalog:

http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/ScopedViewInline.aspx?updateid=bf0b1225-20cf-4be7-a0f6-d854183780f1

Then view basket and download the driver (no charge):

http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/ViewBasket.aspx

You can then install the driver via the device manager:

You can likely install the Vista 32 Bit driver on Windows 10 32 Bit:

You have to install Legacy Direct play and DX9 and DX10 drivers from the Directx June 2010 patch.

You download the file and extract to a folder then run DXSETUP.EXE as administrator.

Before previous drivers will work in windows 8 or 10 you have to enable legacy features like DOTNET 2.0 3.5  and Directshow.  You must then install DIRECTX JUNE 2010 DRIVERS by downloading the file and extracting into a folder and running DXSETUP.exe.

Directx June 2010 which you download and extract to a FOLDER then run DXsetup.exe as administrator.

Install Directx June 2010 Patch.

Legacy audio APIs such as DirectSound, DirectShow, and the waveOutXxx functions enable applications to get and set the volume levels of audio streams.

Windows Media Source Filter. This behavior was maintained to ensure backward compatibility with applications that used the Windows Media Player 6.4. New applications should use the newer versions of QASF, which make the WM ASF Reader filter the default filter for playing ASF files.
