What do I need to upgrade in my Dell Inspiron 620 in order to function with an RX550?

At the time of purchasing the card, I was unaware that the BIOS on the 620 was not compatible with newer cards. Does this mean I need to upgrade my motherboard? I've already upgraded my PSU from 300w to 450w.

Anything helps, thanks!

Which RX550?

Which Inspiron 620?

What BIOS version is it running?

Exactly what happens when;
* Install the RX550 into the Inspiron 620 PCIe x16 slot
* Connect a monitor to the RX550
* Power on the monitor, then the Inspiron 620

Does the fan on the RX550 spin?

It is the Gigabyte RX550, the Inspiron 620 with the wider case. The computer runs fine without the card, but when I insert it and plug it into my monitor it says there is no signal. The fan on the card spins but the computer won't send a signal.

All the other retail video cards that customers have reported with success have had rear PSU power leads on the video cards. The Gigabyte RX550 gets all power from the slot itself which looks to be the issue. So your choices are installing a retail motherboard or a different video card that has rear PSU power leads.
