Will the Radeon X800XT PE work in a Dimension 4600?

I want to upgrade my video card in my Dimension 4600 from a Power Color Radeon 9800Pro to a Sapphire Radeon X800XT Platinum Edition but I have heard somewhere on this forum that this card wont work in a Dimension 4600 is this true? And if so why wont it work? Is there anyone on this forum that is running a X800XT Platinum Edition on a Dimension 4600 or is there anyone that knows if the video card will work in my Dimension 4600?
Please Help

First I must say that that card is awsome but unless your the most hardcore of hardcore gamers than it ain't worth the cash, you may want to go with a Nvidia 6800GT which sells for $399 and people seem to have better luck installing the 6800s over the X800s in thier dells:

You can't use the PCI Express version, but there is an AGP8X version you can use.

And it is one awsom card, and it's no harder to install than any other card if your comp is stable and without spyware and malware. Like any other hardware a few simple things like disc cleanup and defrag, out the drivers thru add/remove prog's, shut down, pull old card, put new one in, boot up comp will recognize new hardware, cancel the wizard, install Cat 4.12 drivers that you've already dl'd, use the Ati control panel to set your res. and any other settings you might want and your done. Good Luck and have fun with your new card.:smileyvery-happy:
