XPS 210 Opinions

Anyone have an XPS 210?  I'm wondering how well it handles Vista.  I was thinking of the following config:

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6700 (4MB L2 Cache,2.66GHz,1066 FSB)

4GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHz

500GB Serial ATA 3Gb/s Hard Drive (7200RPM) w/DataBurst Cache™

ATI Radeon HD 2400 PRO 256MB

Integrated Sound Blaster®Audigy™ HD Software Edition

Hi Nboemio,

You know, I was using the previous generation XPS 200 as a DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and my only complaint about the system was that it ran a little hot.  I mean it's a pretty small form factor so there's not great airflow for the hard drive.  The system ran great though.  Both the XPS 200/210 are more than capable of running Vista.

The fan noise kind of got to me, but that just may be due to running Media Center on it with a 750GB hard drive.

Unless you need the small foot print of the XPS210 I would choose the XPS 420.   The XPS 210 been out for over a year.    The XPS 210 is very limited on expansion.

Yup ... I need the small foot print.  I'm going to be ordering 2 machines.  The XPS 210 as an all-purpose one and the XPS 730 for gaming only.  I would not have space for the 420  and the 730.   Thanks!
