I pinged my Dell tech contacts about your questions. Here's what they told me...

Dell never sold this system with an AMD R9 M390X video card. The problem is with Dell's OEM GPU driver.

Go to the AMD web site and download / install the retail version of the AMD Catalyst driver. Reboot when that's installed.

Now install free "standard" version of GPU-Z (free). Run GPU-Z  and post all the results in this thread. Here's the link to download GPU-Z:

Thanks Ron -- I uninstalled the AMD software - I then reinstalled the AMD Crimson software - as Catalyst isn't available for my system.

This is the result of GPU-Z:

(Device manager reports the same graphics card)

Thanks so much for the reply and help

Guess Dell-Chris M will have to check your system info to see what's going on with the GPU identity.

BTW: Did re-installing the Crimson software help the problem?

Based on the service number, you do have the AMD Radeon (TM) R9 M390X. Which is contrary to the item listed on your order number =
490-BDMH AMD R9 M485X 4GB GDDR5 KHCK5

You need to contact UK Technical Support and show them this data.
