XPS 8300 desktop 12GB memory upgrade is not Tri Channel
Not sure who to contact but I was told by tech support that XPS 8300 motherboard does not support Tri Channel Memory. The web page to personalize the system still has the option to upgrade to Tri Channel when actually memory is Dual Channel. just FYI

Thank you for this information. I posted a question about this earlier on this forum. The Dell sales person I had chatted with was uninformed.
