XPS-8500 PSU Replacement Question - PS2 Connectors have different colored wires.
I am replacing power supply on XPS-8500 with an EVGA 600W Power Supply.
Dell power supply PS2 (4-pin) has two brown and two black wires.
EVGA power supply has two yellow and two black wires.
I am concerned that voltages are different.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Dell PSU Model: HU460AD-01.
Is there a way to power on the PSU on bench and test voltages?
I have searched the Internet and have had no luck. Had issues before extended warranty expired and computer became useless two months later.

You can bench test a power supply by shorting pins 14 (green wire)) and pin 15 (black) on the 20/24 connector.See forums.tweaktown.com/.../15987-bench-test-psu.html
I am not sure what those connectors you are referring to are called but I am pretty sure they are not called PS2 connectors.

HU460AD-01 is not the dell part number. There are not 2 standards for the 4 pin ATX 12v (P4) connection. Its 12v and Gnd. The 4 pin ATX 12V connector is standard. The Dell unit is EPS12v so it has 24 pin instead of 20 pin connector. Dell Part Numbers: WY7XX, 2Y8X1, 7P3WV, CN-0FVGCW

EVGA sells lots of different units. Exactly which EVGA? Need the rest of the PSU name or the complete part number.

Thanks! I shorted out pins and verified 12 volts. I had read somewhere that yellow was 12V and brown was 3.3V, so was concerned that I would be applying 12V where 3.3V was expected. "P2" is stamped on Dell PSU 4-pin connector (NOT "PS2". I may have seen PS2 or PWR2 on motherboard.) "P1" is stamped on 24-pin connector. Put everything together and PC fired like a champ. Now I'm down to replacing the video card... (Dell 4-pin connector was brown/black. Replacement PSU had yellow/black 4-pin connector.)

Thanks for the photos! They were extremely helpful in giving me the "warm fuzzy" that I was not applying 12V where 3V was expected. Model: HU460AD-01. UP/N: HK560-17F. DP/N: 6GPR9. So, the Dell P/N was 6GPR9 - XPS 8500 460W PSU. My understanding of PSU wiring standards was that yellow was for 12V and brown was for 3.3V, so wanted to ensure I was not applying 12V where 3.3V was expected.
