XPS 8520 - no video when booting at times

I have a new Dell XPS8520 with a NVIDIA GT620 card.  When booting up, I do not always get video (including the Dell splash screen)

This is new second unit with this issue.  I tried different monitors, cables, connections(HDMI,DVI,VGI)

Is there a know issue with Dells and GT620s?

Hi Scalejo,

Sorry about the situation. Electronic devices are prone to failures. It's unfortunate that the issue occurred in your case.

I suggest you to check if the system is booting to BIOS screen. To enter the BIOS screen, Switch on the computer, tap F2 at Dell logo and confirm if there is video.

Please run PSA diagnostics, Follow the steps to run PSA diagnostics:

  1. Restart the computer and tap F12 key at Dell logo.
  2. In the boot menu screen select Diagnostics in the list and hit enter.
  3. If the diagnostics displays an error, please reply with the right error message.
