XPS 8910 desktop - eSATA expansion card support

Does anyone have a XPS 8910 desktop and use any eSATA expansion card for connectivity with an external enclosure?  I currently have the follow that is not working:

Dell XPS 8910
Mediasonic HF2-SU3S2 (4-bay enclosure that is supposed to support both USB and e-SATA).
Syba SD-PEX40049 2 Port SATA III 6 Gbps PCIe card switch from SATA to eSATA ports.
StarTech PEXESAT32 2 port SATA 6 Gbps PCI Express eSATA controller card.

I have tried both of those expansion cards above and they are not detected by the system.  The StarTech card I'm supposed to be able to boot up the system and see an initial option to press CTRL+M.  I do see the built-in Intel RAID controller (CTRL+I), but no option for CTRL+M throughout the boot up process.

At this time I am using the Mediasonic HF2-SU3S2 with the USB 3.0 cable, which works just fine, but obviously the e-SATA speed is just reportedly slightly faster.

Any ideas or anyone have experience in this for this 8910 desktop?  Thanks.

Tested in PCIe-x1 and PCIe-x4 slots.

Are you running an HDD or SSD?  If your running an HDD you technically shouldn't notice anything between USB 3 and eSata.  As for why they are not working I'll be honest and state i've never played with esata as it went the way of the dodo by the time I cared about transfer speeds.  One thing I can think of is are those cards Windows 10 compatible? I tried to look but i'm limited on websites I can visit.    I would think they would have to be UEFI compatible.  Maybe go into the UEIF/BIOS and turn on legacy settings?
