audio driver for Optiplex 170L

trying to re-install the audio driver for my optiplex 170L.  downloaded the following file:  R67196b.exe , but I get error code 150 when trying to extract the file.  I got this file from dell.com.  Any idea what the problem is?
 
Running xp pro w/ sp2

Try Downloading the entire file.

Save the file then run after logging in as a Local Adminstrator for the machine.

You must boot safe mode to login as Administrator for Windows XP Home Edition.

Hi i got a similar issue with my optiplex 170l, and maybe is because i installed vista on it.... but this was because i got the original cd's for the installation  with XP but whenever i tried to install the backup disc, an error pop ups when copying the files to the pc, all the files on I386 are unable to be copied during the installation .....so when it finish and reboot to finish the installation says files missed...

whatever.. i already installed vista and is working fine but the audio .... i just installed drivers and codecs for audio realtek hd audio ac 97 , usually works with the audio card                                Analog Devices AD1888/AD1980 @ Intel 82801EB ICH5 - AC'97 Audio Controller

so when i go to test the speakers with stereo option shows the bars but no audio on speakers

so i test as quadraphonic audio and the first two speakers do the same but whe test the 3rd and fourth speker it works ican hear the test on the speakers

but why is not working when i place it as stereo...??

any idea???
