Windows 7 is the only supported operating system on the 620s.  That doesn't mean it will not work, just that it may not work, and there may be devices that will never work or work properly.  XP is not a modern OS, and you will find more and more hardware that is NOT compatible with XP.

If you want to attempt this, you will need to start with the storage driver (or see if you can set SATA/AHCI in the BIOS to ATA/IDE/Compatibility - running XP on this machine is a "downgrade", so additionally limiting the performance of the hard drive might be acceptable):

You will need to use nLiteOS.com to build a CD with the storage drivers on it, as otherwise, XP can only get storage drivers from the F6 prompt during Windows Setup from a floppy disk.

Once installed, then you can try to find drivers for specific devices ... as Dell does not supply XP drivers for these devices, the best place to look is the individual device manufacturers' websites.

Why do you need XP anyway?
