Hi avvylee,

Please share the system model and operating system installed. Also, share if the Dell KM632 Wireless Keyboard was purchased along the system or was it purchased separately. Please try using an alternate wireless or USB keyboard and check if the shift keys work.

Try booting the system to Safe Mode and check if you are able to use the keyboard there. Here are the steps:

  • Restart the system and immediately start tapping the 'F8' key to enter the 'Windows Advanced Option Menu'.
  • Use the 'Down Arrow' key to highlight the 'Safe Mode or Safe Mode with Networking' option. Press the 'Enter' key.

Please reply with the information. I'll be happy to assist further.
