no audio output device is installed!

Hey everyone;)

After upgrading from windows vista home premium to vista ultimate i have lost the sound!
I installed the latest Sigmatel driver (which was already installed) did not help.
Please help
What can I do? :(

No, that ones NOT already installed - What type of XPS do you have? Onboard Sound or Creative X-Fi? If its the sigmatel - MAKE SURE your using this driver. http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R147075&SystemID=DIM_PNT_9200_XPS_410&os=WLH&osl=en&deviceid=8907&devlib=0&typecnt=1&vercnt=1&formatcnt=1&libid=3&fileid=195629 R147075.EXE
