power safe mode

I just moved and have reassembled my desktop.  When I boot up I get a message that says entering power safe mode and cannot do anything.  In the monitor set up, I get a message that there is no communication and to hit a key or move mouse.  This does not work.  Any suggestions on how to get out of power save mode?

Always include PC model and version of Windows  in your posts

  • Can you test this monitor on different PC or different monitor on this PC?
  • If you have an add-in video card, did you connect the monitor to the video card and not to an onboard video port?
  • Reseat the video card in its slot, assuming you have an add-in video card.
  • Replace motherboard battery, which may have died during the move...

Always power off, unplug and press/hold power button for ~15 sec before working inside the case.

Power Save Mode Message:

The power save mode message that you see on your monitor is telling you that it has no signal and is going back to sleep:

Reasons are:

1. inadequate or no cable connection between monitor and computer / graphics adapter

2. no power source at computer

The monitor is working perfectly correct. The problem is either with the connection to the computer or the computer itself is not sending a signal to the monitor.

Examine your connections.
