Factory reset of hard drive
I have reviewed the DELL technical support information and have attempted to start the reset to factory settings using F8 button at start-up and it will not work. Need help, please. Desktop model Inspiron 620 with Windows 7 Home. Does this computer not have this feature.

Should have PC Restore on the hard drive.
You have to press F8 before Windows starts to load. Does pressing F8 open a menu? PC Restore is probably on the Advanced tab on that menu.
If you replaced, repartitioned the hard drive, etc, you may no longer have access to PC Restore and you'll have to do a clean reinstall.
Either way, make sure all your files are backed up on external media because everything will be lost. And make sure you have the product key for any software (eg Microsoft Office) you will want to reinstall because you'll need those keys to activate the software.
