Moving Harddrive from Dell Dimension 8200 to Dell Dimension 8250?
Hi,
Since the video card of my Dell Dimension 8200 has died and I have the option to by a Dell Dimension 8250 without harddrive at a decent price.
I'm planning to take the harddrive from my Dell 8200 and insert it into the Dell 8250.
Will that work without problems? or am I overlooking something?

The IDE hard drive from the 8200, will work fine in the 8250, but you may need to reinstall windows and load the 8250 drivers.

If it's XP, you can execute a "repair install."
