Hi Anatolch,

Please try a system restore. This will not undo a firmware change but it may restore video function.

I dont have problems with video functions. I can see a picture from my dell xps on a addon monitor via hdmi. Now I type this message with the help of teamviewer from my notebook. Dell diagnostic have no problems with hardware or software. But really monitor dont show a picture. Touchscreen works properly (i can see it in teamviewer).

How can i return factory default settings on a monitor subsystem MStar LM270WQ3 of my Dell Xps One 2720 0014?

Now i update bios to ver A05, touchscreen. No result to video.

When you run the diagnostics, do you get a picture on the integrated display?

You're going to have to call Dell for service.

Our Dell Service is not working till 9.01.2014.

Can i find a service engineer in net?

I do not know exactly for dell, but many modern tv has usb tools to update firmware.

Or may be i can find dip switch to restore factory default settings?

I'm not sure exactly what that firmware update is for or why it rendered your display inoperable. I'm afraid I can offer no further advice beyond calling Dell tech support.

I wish there was a "dip switch" to restore factory conditions. Would save me a lot of time.

I have an XPS 2720 All in One and performed the firmware update with no issues, but I do not have an external monitor connected via HDMI.

Are you saying that after the firmware update and XPS 2720 computer reboot, that the XPS 2720 monitor display is blank, no video being displayed, but you can see the XPS 2720 computer display information being displayed on the HDMI connected external monitor?  It looks like that the XPS 2720 monitor display output is disabled.

Try this

Bring up the Windows Start Screen with the tiles displayed on the external monitor

Type Dis and the external monitor should display should show:  Project to a Connected Screen Menu in the top right of the display

You then have the following Display choices

PC Screen Only for selecting the XPS 2720 Monitor only

Duplicate for displaying the same screen information on both the XPS 2720 monitor and the connected HDMI external monitor

Second Screen Only for only displaying the XPS 2720 internal monitor information on the external HDMI monitor only

I suspect that the Second Screen Only option is On

Forgot the Extend Option which allows the XPS 2720 display to  be extended to both displays

I solved the problem without a service.

In a folder with MStar Sc update there are 3 files:

data.1, data.2, data.3 and exe file.

Dont run an exe - you'll have big problems with black screen.

I renaimed data.3 as data.7z, unpacked to a new folder.

in this folder we can find new exe to update firmware, file pirelli.bin with firmware and some additional files.

After updating firmware all is OK. Monitor works properly.

By the way, data.1 is a 7z archiever. We can rename it to exe and run in a cmd.

data.2 is an exe too, but dont works in windows 8.1

Good Luck! Thank for help for everybody!
