Product Key for pre-installed Office 2013

The switch to my new Dell 8700 has become a nightmare.  Tonight I tried to activate the permanent addition of Microsoft Office that ordered on the computer which I bought directly from Dell.

It give me the choice of using a product key or the Microsoft Account sign in.  Of course, I have no product key. If I use the microsoft account log in, it comes back with an error that says that account does not match the Office software I have installed.

By now there should be a ready made answer to this. Anybody know it?

There are Zero versions of Office 2013 that include media.

The software is issued on a Card with license key.

MPI Card

The MPI card (Microsoft Product Identification Card) will be similar to the picture above and include a 25 character product key license. This card is very small and can sometimes not be easily visible in the packaging of the system. Please check fully the box and any paperwork and do not discard as these cannot easily be replaced.

If you ordered it directly from dell  then the Key should be listed as a specific part number included with your order.

This forum is not direct support with Dell Sales or Support.

Activation keys for Microsoft Office 2010 and 2013 are not interchangeable.
Some Dell systems shipped with Microsoft Office 2010 installed on the computer but include a card for Microsoft Office 2013 complete with an activation.  If you attempt to use the Office 2013 activation code to activate Office 2010, the code will not work. In fact, you do not need to activate the version of Office 2010 installed on the system.

Solution: If you choose, you may go to the Microsoft Office website
http://office.microsoft.com/getoffice

and enter the product key that you received with the full version of Office 2013 to download the appropriate version of office purchased.

Many apologies, I found that little card tucked inside of one the boxes I received. Thanks for you patience with me. Everything has been activated and I'm good to go!

Pre installed TRIAL office 2013 does not have a key.  You have to buy it and activate.

No, no, no.  It's not the trial version.  I paid for one permanent license at the time I ordered the computer from Dell. They already HAVE my money.  I want my product.
