The 4600 system either comes with the integrated onboard video or a true dedicated video card.  We have to find out which one you got.  Right click your mouse on the desktop, click on Properties in the next box you see.  This will take you into Display Properties.  Now click on Settings in the upper right side of this next box, click on Advance next.  Now click on Adaptor on the top.  Just below the top on this last box, you will see your video adaptor listed.  Tell us what it is and we can direct you to the proper driver for your system.

Dim 4400 ( 3 Years 8 Months, going strong )
2.6 Ghz 400 FSB
1 Gb 2100 DDR Memory
20 Gb hard drive 7,200
Windows XP Home - SP-2
Leadtek 6600 GT

You just may have the onboard integrated( Very low end ) video chip and the below link is a driver for it.

However, do not install this driver just yet.  Lets find out what you have installed first.  Four things you can do :

1.  Open up the case and look at the AGP video card slot to see what you have installed.  If empty, than you have the integrated video chip

2.  Download this application to find what's installed onto your system.     Click on link that has suggestions on how to determine what is on your system

3. Click on START, Click on ALL PROGRAMS, Find near top, ACCESSORIES, and place your mouse pointer on it.  Now move the pointer over to the right than down to SYSTEM TOOLS.  Click on it, and find SYSTEM INFORMATION and click on this.  Another box will finally appear, and now click on The COMPONENTS  ( + ) plus sign, on the left side.  Now look for DISPLAY, and click on this, and over on the right side you will see your video adaptor listed.

4.  If you still have your invoice or package slip from way back, it will be listed as well
List your video adaptor for us to assist you.

Support options based on the model of your machine (desktop, laptop, OptiPlex, Dimension, Latitude, etc) in order for your call to be routed to the appropriate technician.

What are the Dell™ Express Service Code and Service Tag, and where can I find them?

You will need:

1. To be in front of the computer while you are online.

2. The make and model of the computer

3. The Service Tag and/or the Express Service Code for your computer-

* The Service Tag can be found on the back or bottom of your computer as a bar code label

* The Service Tag and/or Express Service code may also be found by running Express.exe in the Dell directory of your C:\ Drive

* The Service Tag and/or Express Service code may also be found from the Start Menu---> Programs ---> Dell Accessories --->Express Service Code

4. The Dell Support CDs that came with the computer if they are available.

Out of curiosity Fixerpa, May I ask if it was the integrated video that needed a driver or was there an AGP card that needed one?
