Login not working on https://education.emc.com/

Question

I have noticed that I sometimes get into a login loop where the same 'guest' user page shows after clicking on the login button at the top right on https://education.emc.com  -- I have seen this in both Firefox and Chrome (on multiple computers - Windows and Linux) and have also tried to clear out my cookies when the problem comes up.  The fix for me has been to go to https://education.emc.com/sso and login there, then go back to the main page to continue.  Has anyone else seen this or is there a setting in my browser that can help overcome this? Also, is there a logout option?  I cannot seem to find it anywhere in the menu like most sites have.
