Dell EqualLogic PS4100xv - Manual Transfer utility problem (MTU)
Hi,
I have an EQL PS4100xv with the latest firmware and MTU installed on my desktop running Windows XP SP3.
This is the problem I encountered with I execute an MTU.
"Data Transfer operation could not start due to the following error:
Cannot discover target iqn.2001-05.com.equallogic .................................."
I can execute MTU for other volumes but for this specific volume I get the error above...
Hope someone can help me on this.

This could indicate that the Access control record for that volume is at its limit and not letting other iSCSI connections. Check the Access tab on the volume, the max amount allowed is 16. You can temporally remove a ACL, or try to use the .iqn name of the WinXP system instead of the ip address.

Hi,
Do you mean only 16 iSCSI connections can be supported per volume ? Or 16 ACLs, I'm sure the connection per volume is below 16. Since, I have only two (2) servers.
Will try your suggestion to add an ACL with the iqn name of the Windows XP server..
