Hi Dave,

There are a few things that could cause the issue, but you will need to call phone support since it requires an engineer.

You should hook up a serial to see whats going on during boot because i think we have replace a battery again or maybe reboot a controller with weak battery and the controller lost time and date. The controller refuse to boot up with a time/date from the past. We correct the date and time and controller reboots just fine.

Joerg

Hello,

That's a good thought.  Especially connecting to the NAS head and see what messages there. Usually with dead or weak battery it wouldn't even show up to be attached but good to check for sure.

I suspect it's not under contract?    Depending on what region you can buy a one time service call.

 Regards,

Don

I'll call in to tech support and buy the one time support call.

Thanks

We hooked up to the NAS head and fixed the time.  It still wouldn't come up.  I'll call into support.

Thanks

For future reference, you should not have detached but rather shut the node down, pulled it, swapped battery, then powered back on.

Was support able to get you back up and going?
