Group Manager Error message

Question

When trying to access EqualLogic Group Manager, I am getting a Group Manager requires Java SE 6 Update 31 or later. The current version installed is JRE 8u161. From other older posts - suggest to add the location to the Java Security except site list; tried this and still getting a java error. When launching from the browser - it will ask to update... Launching as an application will download the jnlp file which shows up as application blocked by java security.. More information shows this: ExitException[ 3]com.sun.deploy.security.BlockedException: Your security settings have blocked an application signed with an expired or not-yet-valid certificate from running at sun.plugin2.applet.JNLP2Manager.prepareLaunchFile(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.JNLP2Manager.loadJarFiles(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager$AppletExecutionRunnable.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)   I can provide more info. Thanks for any advice..

Hello,

Two things. One you are running an older version of EQL firmware. The most current versions of the firmware support the newer versions of Java. Oracle made a change to the security defaults after build 201 of Java 8.
