PS 4210 has two controller, are they active / active?

Hello Group,

I am currently configuring PS4210, but will need some understanding of the IP addressing of the controllers.

1. Should i give IP address to the secondary controller? or they are active / passive, so no IPs for secondary?

2. In primary controller, i believe that i should give IP to eth0, what about eth1?

Quite confusing, can anyone help me with the IP addressing of the ports..?

At the end ETH0 and ETH1  take an IP and optional the MGMT port. The standby CM reuse the IPs of the active CM in a term of a fail over or when the role change.

The active CM is the one with a green Led and the standby have a ember one. The lightning of network ports doesnt indicate which one is the active CM.

This is your first PS or better the first member of a group? If so there is a virtual IP called WKA (well known address) for iSCSI and if used also another virtual one for your MGMT network.

Regards,
Joerg
