Update Disk firmware PS6100

I want to update my drive firmware, kit_V9.0_DriveFw_2663786033.tgz and uploaded the file to the PS61000

san> update

11:20:05 Updating from kit file "kit_V9.0_DriveFw_2663786033.tgz"

This command will update the firmware on the array's flash card memory
using the update kit file that was copied to the array.

Why does it say update firmware flashcard instead of drive?

So i aborted this and used the Storage Update Manager instead

first select update drive firmware and than PS Series member, install update.

it goes directly to 100%, but then nothing ?

Status is now Install not yet started and i can only cancel the plan

What happend here ????

Hi Don,

is there a way to find the current Disk firmware on the PS6100?

i recently replaced 2 drives and it says "Critical: Disk firmware on drive 2 for member is out of date"

but i am not sure what's the version other drives has so that i can download and try updating?

any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Santhosh

Hello,

You can get that info from SANHQ or at the Group CLI

GrpName>member select MEMBERNAME show disk

You don't have to worry about the other drives.  The update kit will install the proper firmware per drive model.  So if you have different model drives the proper firmware upgrade will be installed.

 Regards,

Don
