Windows 2008 cluster dropping disk
I have Windows 2008 R2 failover cluster setup with 2 nodes and disks from Equallogic iSCSI. Recently my nodes have started dropping one disk due to failover cluster error with event id 1034.
"Cluster physical disk resource [disk] cannot be brought online because the associated disk could not be found. The expected signature of the disk was {signature}.If the disk was replaced or restored, in the Failover Cluster Management snap-in, you can use the repair function...."
What could be causing the problem? If I check the disk id with diskpart it matches with the expected id in the error message. On my 2 node setup the other node can't bring the disk up at all and the other can bring it up after reboot.
Thanks in advance

Is this cluster a hyper-v cluster? If so, is the dropped volume the quorum (witness disk), a CSV, or regular cluster storage.

No it is not a hyper-v cluster. This is used just for file shares and the disk dropping is regular cluster storage.
It doesn't say anything in the eql management. iSCSI initiator says that the disk is connected but I can't bring it online from windows storage management because of the signature error.

I had exactly the same thing. Disable RSS on all iSCSI NICs. In my case this was with Broadcom NICs even with the latest drivers.
