We don't have one for learning and testing purposes, but there is one available to EMC employees for customer demos. If you are an employee you can find it by searching EMC|One for "RecoverPoint Simulator".

I think you can just go to Powerlink and download the RecoverPoint software with a fully-functional 30-day grace period. Or that's what I was told by our EMC partner.

yes we do, while you can use the software off of powerlink this would require you to have hardware (RecoverPoint appliance(s), SAN infrastructure, IP infrastructure, etc).
We have a version of the RP software that runs in a virtual machine, so it can run on your XP, 2000/2003 desktop under VMware Player, Server, or Workstation and can be imported (using VMware converter) to an ESX server.
You can find it in the share \\CSED2\CST in the directory "RP 3.1 Simulator". You will find a large .zip file there that includes the VM and a word .doc file that covers the installation, configuration and demo use.
You will need to download a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) (www.sun.com/java) version 1.6.6 or later (current version is 1.6.13)
You will need a VM environment, I recommend either VMware player or VMware server as these are available as no-charge downloads.
There is a RecoverPoint forum on one.emc.com if you have additional questions.

Hi,
How can I get a copy of RecoverPoint 3.1 simulator?
We are users of the Unisys solution Safeguard, which is the OEM RecoverPoint.
We use the solution in a geographic cluster of 908 miles with Microsoft.

Contact your EMC rep, we now have the RecoverPoint V3.2 version of the simulator available for EMC and partners. This can be used for demo purposes.

Mohammed, like Simon said earlier in the thread, go to one.emc.com and search for "recoverpoint simulator". I think the doc that you are looking for is in the Connectivity and Storage Virtualization community.

The simulator is only available to employees and partners. Employees should check one.emc.com and partners should check with their EMC reps.

We are very close to posting the simulator on powerlink where it can be accessed by partners and EMC alike, the final legal approvals have been reached so it is just a matter of getting the materials uploaded and making sure the new page is corect. If you are a customer or prospect please work with your EMC or partner rep.
If an EMC rep or partner needs immediate access to the RecoverPoint simulator please send me an email (gary.archer@emc.com)
Thank you,
Gary
