Audio static and crackle when unplugging power cord - 2016 Inspiron 13"
Hi,
I have a new Inspiron 7359 and whenever I am listening to something, and unplug the power, the sound goes staticy and crackles for a few seconds. It does this in addition to continuing to play whatever I am listening to. Plugging in the power does nothing, its only when unplugging it.
Is this a known issue with this computer, or do I have a hardware defect and I should return it?

Hello. It is probably an artifact caused by power management -- when you unplug the power to the audio chip and speakers is reduced to save battery life, and the adjustments might be manifesting as noise. You might be able to get rid of this by defeating the power management scheme, if you can find the one affecting the audio.
If you cannot get rid of the noise and it really annoys you, then return the laptop imo.
