Blue Screen, STOP 0x0..7E
Hi, I would greatly appreciate any help on this issue.
I have a Studio 1558 Laptop, has worked great until I have had about 5 blue screens now.
The error is STOP: 0x0000007E (0xFFFFFFFFc0000005, 0xFFFFF880058882F4, 0xFFFFF88002949788, 0xFFFFF88002948FE0)
and
bcmw1664.sys - Address FFFFF880058882F4 bas at FFFFF88005840000. Datestamp 4b1e7a5e

BSOD errors are a bit like a wild goose chase. There is general information, but every particular case can be a little different.
In your case, my first assumption would be a video capture device error, such as any USB camera, a webcam (such as an integrated or USB connected one), or similar device.
The commonality with this error code is that is generally occurs when the video capture device and the hibernation of the computer conflict. i won't go into too much detail, but this causes the error, causes the BSOD and then typically causes a reboot. After the reboot things normally run fine until another hibernation.
I would go to the Dell Drivers and Downloads page (link in my sig) and download webcam drivers, and also check all other drivers that may be out of date.).
After you have done this, please let me know the results. :)
