Card Slot Place-Holder Dell 7520
Hello,
I bought the Dell Inspiron 7520 in the summer of 2012, and it's been great. Besides the HDD failure last month, this laptop has functioned without a problem, and runs everything I make it.
Recently I have misplaced the place-holder for my SD Card slot, and I have yet to find it. I'm pretty OCD about these things, and it bothers me to look at the laptop without the place-holder.
If anyone knows a place where you can buy bits and pieces of the Dell Inspiron 7520, help would be very much appreciated...

Hi,
Welcome to the Community. I tried searching on the Dell Website but had no results. Are you referring referring to a Dummy SD card?

Thank you so much for the quick response!
The dummy card for the 7520 seems to differ from that card though... As the outside of the laptop is ringed with silver plastic, the SD card also has silver plastic on the outside. As I said, I'm pretty OCD about these things, so this is actually a pretty big difference. And buying a whole laptop just for the dummy card seems a bit ridiculous :emotion-42:

The part number for the Dummy SD Card is 3M1M5. I found it on a 3rd party website : www.ebay.com/.../370716352801
