Chromebook 11 Opening Links in New Tab Problem

I can't find any help for this online, so I thought I would ask you guys. Since the last Chrome OS update, on my Dell Chromebook 11, links don't open correctly in a new window.

For instance, if I click a link on Reddit that is supposed to open in a new window, the new window opens but the page doesn't load. I just get a white page. Refreshing doesn't make it load, either. But if I copy the link into another window, or enter any url besides the original into the address bar, the browser window functions.

What could be causing this weird bug? It happens on any page I click a link on, besides Gmail. It's super annoying. I have powerwashed my system several times, and also tried the guest account, but nothing works. Thanks.

Just stumbled onto this thread and wanted to reply to close it out even though I'm way late.   This was fixed pretty quickly via an over the air update to the Chrome OS.
