Copy Ghost of Dell System Image

I have reinstalled from the original disks, including all software etc. The computer with problems still does not have F11.

Question is how do I copy the ghost F11 from the good system to use on the one with problems?

Please explain collapse this partition and use it

The ghost partition has gone bad and neither can it be retrieved nor can be copied from any other system.  So, the best thing to do is, next time you are reinstalling the OS, collapse this partition and use it.

From what you have said, the ghost partition on the second system has gone bad and it cannot be copied from the first system. The only option is to use the Operating System disk for reinstallation.

Is it possible to copy the entire hard drive from the good system and boot the cd to the bad system to install the entire hard drive from the good to the bad?

Try and see if it works.If you have enough experience with Macrium Reflect (simple to use anyway)and your are happy with it then use one of your systems and reinstall it from scratch.Install all Windows updates,all your favourite programs and just set it up the way you like it.Make a new backup and that should be then the backup which is up-to-date and that you should use instead of an old outdated factor image.......

how do I create a bootable usb stick, I have a clean 4mb available.

How do I create a bootable cdrom, I understand that xp will not create bootable cd's.

While reinstalling OS, before choosing the partition in which Windows can be installed, delete all the listed partitions so that it would become a single partition which would say Unallocated Space on the screen. This would delete the ghost partition too as this would merge into the unallocated space. Proceed with OS installation on this single partition.

The answer to your second question is that it is not possible to copy entire hard drive to your second system.

Yes it is possible.  However you will need PTEDIT and DSRFIX and other tools.\

Inside the Dell PC Restore Partition

One last try for the newby. I have a Iomega 1T backup external hard drive.

Is is possible to copy the entire hard drive from the working computer, the connect the Iomega to the laptop with problems and copy the entire hard drive to the problem laptop. ]

If so, how do I get the problem laptop to boot from the Iomega external hard drive, and will this transfer include the Norton Ghost Image?

Download and install Macium Reflect on the "good" system.Run it,check the options it offers you,make yourself familiar with it and just give it a try - nothing to loose anyway .........

I have some questions,

Have you ever used this software? I downloaded and installed it on both computers.

I created a clone of the good computer, using CD's, it created 14 CD's(wow 14 CD's for 17.57GB)

How do I installed the 14 CD's on the problem computer? I have read all the help files and cannot figure out how to install them on the problem computer.
