DELL Inspiron 5520- dell touch pad software issue !

I think there's a bug on that software which dell uses for control the touch pad. There's a issue with saving settings, when we change the values for pointer speed and drag lock option separately other one is getting it's default value. I think dell must release a update on that software soon.

This is definitely a software bug, Because when we  click on sensitivity tab it ticks the drag lock itself . so i guess we have to wait for an update, I'm gone tired of this DELL must take responsibility for this!

Hi,

I am having the exact problem and the solution you listed does not resolve this issue. Please provide a solution for this as it is very annoying to increase mouse speed and turn off drag lock every time you switch on the computer

Hi malikhasan1/ don91,

Please check this link: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3518/p/19460993/20159998.aspx

Reinstalling the operating system and reinstalling the drivers again has fixed the problem.

Note: Please do back up the data prior reinstalling the operating system,

After the operating system is installed, the drivers should be installed in correct order. Please use this link which shows the right order: http://tinyurl.com/8xvx6xy

If you have the resource disk, install the drivers in the correct order or use this link to install the drivers for the computer: http://tinyurl.com/cgcakw3

Click the link above, enter the service tag and select the operating system from the dropdown and follow the order in installing the drivers.

If you do not have the Operating system and resource disks, I will check with availability of the operating system which was pre-installed in the computer and resource disk for downloading the drivers and send it to you.

Please private message the system service tag, contact number and registered owner’s name and the address where you want the disks to be sent.
