Dell D3100 Docking Station not recognised

I purchased a Dell D3100 for my non-Dell laptop in 2016. Initially, I was able to connect two 24" LG tv/monitors to my laptop via HDMI. I'm not sure if there's an issue with a Windows 10 update (I have the latest DisplayLink drivers installed), but my laptop will now recognise the external hard drives attached to the dock via USB, but will not recognise the monitors attached or the dock itself.

Is there something I'm missing?

Any help would be immensely appreciated!

Cheers,

Andy

Chris,

Thanks for the reply. I've been through that process several several times. As I mentioned, the laptop recognises the USB items through the dock, but not the monitors. I'm at the point where I may have to find an alternative or buy a new dock.

Cheers,

Andy

If it all worked in the past, I would start over and simplify. Read through the guides here and here.

* Turn the laptop and both monitors off
* Disconnect everything from the D3100 except the power
* Turn the laptop on
* Connect the D3100 USB 3.0 I/O cable to the D3100 and the laptop USB 3.0 port
* Turn one monitor on
* Connect that monitor to the D3100 HDMI out port
* Click on the DisplayLink icon
* Select Extend. Does it work?
