Dell Inspiron 13 7359

I have a Dell Inspiron 13 7359 that was purchased 3 months ago( Great laptop for that price!!) . It currently has 6th Gen I7 processor (i&-6500U / 2.5Ghz / 64Bit) and 8GB DDR3L RAM and I would like to upgrade that to 16 GB atleast. Now all the information available suggests that this Laptop does not support more than 8GB of RAM. My question is : is there anyway to get around this limitation other than having to buy a new laptop?.  The SMBIOS ver is 2.8 and the motherboard ID is 0WJF7F.  BIOS Vendor is Dell. Mfg Date : 12/09/2015 and BIOS Ver string : 01.04.00.

Will it just not recognize a 16GB RAM Module or just not see anything above 8Gb or just not work at all?

Will greatly appreciate all responses.

Thanks

Hi SG1970,

The 7359 model is designed to support a max of 8GB memory. So, any additional memory would not be detected by the system, as it might not even compete POST.

Also, please click my DELL-username and write me a private conversation with the service tag and your Name for case records.
