Issue:

As of 8/21/15, when the power button is pressed turn on and shut down or it will stay on with only the CAPS, NUM, and SCROLL LOCK flashing, also the charger will only work at certain times. The last time the screen was properly work was on August 11, 2015.

Current Info:

The computer stopped working in July 2015, when the same issue above happened. It was kept because we thought it could still have a chance at working again. On August 8, 2015, I turned on the computer, and it worked and loaded no problem, although the Windows 7 OS which was last used OS on their before it stopped working couldn’t boot. The only Windows copies I had in my reach was Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 and Windows Vista Business Service Pack. I used Windows Vista because it was newer and since Windows XP is no longer supported I knew I couldn’t get supported drivers. When I installed Windows Vista it took 30 – 40 minutes but in the end it worked at the computer was completely useful. But while I was working I got Vista’s “Blue Screen of Death” twice and at about 8:36PM it froze completely so I shut it off and when I turned it on it wouldn’t boot. I tried to start it again two days later and it worked It booted, I logged in no problem and then five minutes later, BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!!!. And here I am currently with it now not booting at all. When I turn it on now I hear the hard drive trying to boot but failing. And this is what’s currently happening.

System board error "Flash-On-On"

Doesn't look good but you can try getting some new thermal paste and trying 1.

1. Reseat the processor.

2. Replace the system board.

3. Replace the processor.
