Dell XPS m1330 Mic working intermittently.....

hi i upgraded to windows 10 and my laptop mic is only working sometimes... i don't know how to fix this! When i mess with the drivers then it will work temporarily then nothing.... it shows as working properly but it dosent pick up any sound like its mute or something.... Also it is a default microphone array device.
