Dell inspiron 17R SE-7720 Keyboard backlight.

Hi I cannot turn my backlit keyboard on, fn+f6 will not work, as the quick start guide says.
Ive downloaded drivers several times, and tried starting the BacklitKB program found in the (C:) drive, and it will tell me that the backlit keyboard cannot be identified.

I also have 7720, when I run BacklitKB.exe it says "Unable to detect the backlight keyboard". Also, I don't have a light simbol on F6 key.

Hi Adiior,

The Inspiron 15R SE 7720 has a backlit keyboard; you can follow the steps below to switch on the backlit keyboard.

Press < Fn >< F6 > once to turn on the keyboard back light. Press < Fn >< F6 > second time to decrease the brightness of the keyboard back light and pressing < Fn >< F6 > for the third time turns off the keyboard back light. After doing the above steps and still the backlit keyboard is not on, please send me the system service tag through a private chat. So I can help you in further.

Click on my username select start conversation and send me the details.

Hi SteelDemonuk,

If you have the same system (Inspiron 17R SE-7720) and the system was purchased with a backlit keyboard, try  pressing < Fn >< F6 > once to turn on the keyboard back light. Press < Fn >< F6 > second time to decrease the brightness of the keyboard back light and pressing < Fn >< F6 > for the third time turns off the keyboard back light.

If you are not sure, you may provide the service tag of the computer and the name as it appears on the account via private message (click my username and then click Start Conversation) so that I can check the system specifications.

Please reply if you have any questions.

The blacklight doesn't work for me to. My laptop is 2 months old, and a couple of weeks ago it worked, but when yesterday I wanted to switch it on, nothing happened. So I pushed the key with the gears above the keyboard, and I tried to switch it there, but still nothing.

Any idea?

Thanks.

I tried it for the first time

sorry, I should tell to you, but I thought its obvious(but I wrote, that I switched in the settings)

I've tried it both way, but it still doesn't work. There is something wrong.

I updated the driver(but maybe not the correct - the quickset app driver, couse I had not a better idea)
