This system has a built in mic. There are no specific drivers for the mic. It may be muted. Look in the control panel under sound options to see if that is the issue.

Do all Vostro 1520 models have a built-in microphone (not the jack for external use) somewhere in the case/frame? Mine does not have the optional webcam, and I do not see a microphone hole anywhere along the case like a lot of manufacturers. I have been struggling to get my internal mic to work for a long time.
