Dell webcam central download

Question

Okay, so I have had my laptop for a while now and my webcam has worked fine for ages, but now it's not working. It's intergrated and there's a message that says it's "not detected...". When I put my screen down very far (almost touching the keys) the little blue light on the webcam comes on and i can see that the webcam works, but as soon as i put the screen back up, it doesn't work.

i tried un-downloading it (or whatever the word is) and now i can't find a proper site to download it back (silly me)!

1. does anyone have a trustworthy site with the ACTUAL download? (many sites have said its the "dell webcam central download" but... isn't :emotion-18:

2. does any one know how to fix the problem of my webcam not working?

In response to your query,below is the link for any webcam issues on any computer.

Installation Steps:

First Save the file on Desktop and then follow the below instructions:

1. Double-click the new icon on the desktop labeled Dell_SX2210-Monitor_Webcam SW RC1.1_ R230103.exe.

2. The Self-Extracting window appears and prompts you to extract or

Unzip to C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R230103. Write down this path so the executable (I.e. Setup.exe) file can be found later.

3. The Self-Extractor window appears.

4. Click OK.

5. After completing the file extraction, if the Self-Extractor

Window is still open, close it.

6. Click the Start button and then click Run.

7. Type C:\DELL\DRIVERS\R230103 in the Open textbox and then click OK.

8. Follow the on-screen installation instructions.

Try reseating the webcam cable .Please follow the below link

Download the user manual by entering the system service tag

The drivers that DELL-Munawar P provided were for the file also known as Dell Webcam Central

PLEASE READ AND ANSWER THE QUESTIONS THAT I ASKED, BELOW.

Did you recently install/reinstall the operating system? If yes, did you install the drivers i the correct order? How to Download and Install Drivers in the Correct Order

Did the webcam show in the symptom tree?
